- open command line/terminal on lubuntu
- run update command

sudo apt-get update - install apt-transport-https package

sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https - install GPG key for sublime text

wget -qO - https://download.sublimetext.com/sublimehq-pub.gpg | sudo apt-key add - - add sublime repository
-
echo "deb https://download.sublimetext.com/ apt/stable/" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sublime-text.list - run update command again

sudo apt-get update - install sublime text 3
-
sudo apt-get install sublime-text - done!
Once installed you can open sublime text from lubuntu start menu > Programming > Sublime Text.
