How To Reduce A Video Size By 90%

Welcome back to another article. In this article I will show you how to compress/encode a video in a way to decrease its size by 90%, this works well for content creators or youtube who edit videos & want to reduce size afterwards, without losing quality.

How To Reduce?

1. First of all download Handbrake from HERE & install it in your system.
2. Open up handbrake & click on “File (Open a single video file)” & select video.
3. Now, click on “Browse” button under “Destination” & select the path where you want to save the video file after encoding.
4. Now, under “Size” set the video width & height same as source file
5. Under “Cropping”, select up “Custom” & set everything to 0.
6. Go to video tab & Make sure that “H.264” is selected as video codec.
7. Now click on “Audio” Tab & change the settings according to your needs.
8. After you’re done with above steps, Hit “Start Encode” button & it will start encoding.
9. Wait for video encoding process to complete, you can see a progress bar in bottom left.
10. That’s it, your video will be encoded & its size will be reduced.
