There are different solutions depend on your system (32/64-bit) and laptop model (example: HP, Dell, Lenovo) If you are using Windows 10 and the sound (Conexant audio) does not work. Here are some fixes that could hep you resolve the problem.
2. The save as conexant.reg (select all files on file type).
3. Right click and rus a s admin. reboot.
Note: Open device manager by right click on Windows logo and select device manager.
1. Disable Audio Enhancement.
1. Right click on the speaker icon on your task tray and select playback option.
2. Right click on speaker and select properties. Then select enhancement tab the check the "disable all enhancement" checkbox.
3. Now reboot and test your sound. This trick normally worked on most model.
2. Installing lower windows version of the driver.
1 - Go to device manager, look for audio, video and games controller. Click on the down arrow key to expand the list.
2-Look for Conexant Smart Audio, right click and select uninstall.
3. Now download the older version such as windows 8 drivers and install it.
3. Install Generic Audio.
Windows 10 have a generic audio driver which work with most computer audio device.
1 - Go to device manager, look for audio, video and games controller. Click on the down arrow key to expand the list.
2-Look for Conexant Smart Audio, right click and select update driver software.
3. Select browse my computer for driver software.
4. Select let me pick from a list of device driver from my computer.
5. Uncheck show compatible device.
6. select Microsoft on the left panel and select High Defintion Audio Device on the left panel.
7. Click next and continue untill the installation is finish.
4. Fix Conexant Registry.
Sometimes the registry stop conexant service so your audio does not not start during start up. (please make a back up of your registry first).
1. Copy and paste the following into notepad.
