By default lubuntu is adopting microsoft window's style desktop with start menu program and task bar at the bottom of the desktop, is it possible to change the position of lubuntu panel to the top?
Yes, it's totally possible, you can move the lubuntu panel to the top of the screen, in fact not only you can move it to the top, but you can also move it to the right and left side of your screen.
To move lubuntu desktop panel, simply do a right click on the panel and then choose 'Panel Settings', on the 'Geometry' tab, look at the 'Position', there you can choose 'Buttom', 'Top', 'Left' and 'Right'.
Now your desktop will look like this:
Although you could move the lubuntu panel to the left and right, i don't think it's a good idea specially on small screen, the panel will look ugly and messy.
